Mrs. Hiscott

Mrs. Hiscott is currently the vocal music teacher at Baseline Middle School. She is in her 20th year of teaching instrumental and choral music. She began her teaching career as the Assistant Band Director for the West Catholic Band Program in Grand Rapids, MI. After two years she accepted the position of Director of Bands and Choirs for Cassopolis Public Schools before coming back to teach music in South Haven, her hometown. Mrs. Hiscott received her Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Aquinas College with a double major in music education and jazz performance. She is currently a member of the Michigan School Vocal Music Association (MSVMA), American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), and a charter member of the Jazz Educators Network (JEN). Mrs. Hiscott has enjoyed performing in various jazz, choral, and orchestral ensembles and was Bass Clarinetist for the Kent Philharmonic Orchestra in Grand Rapids, MI. Under her direction, the Baseline Choirs have participated in MSVMA festivals at the district and state level. She currently lives in South Haven with her husband Keith and daughter Grace.
